Thanks for the watch :D
Your welcome. I love history.
Oh! Hello,
Welcome to my page.
I do apologize, but I don't quite understand the question. What exactly do you mean?
P.S. Happy belated Birthday
That is a very interesting question. I suppose it’s moments like these that I am glad I play DnD and Skryim.
Well, generally speaking, fantasy style dragons appear to be loners and would rather oppress/dominate over other races than try and actually ally themselves with them. However, should they ally with someone, I have come up with a few unique ideas over the years:
- Goblins. They tend to live in caves/mountains/volcanoes which many dragons tend to live. While dragons are more like wrecking balls, Goblins to be more subversive, getting into cracks and crevices. I could see the two having a symbiotic relationship.
- Dwarven cultists. Dwarves and Dragons usually try and kill each other over gold and wealth. However, if you get Dwarves to adopt radical beliefs, I could see them team up with Dragons to accrue a lot of wealth together.
- Sea Folk. Assuming the dragons were trying to conquer an island or coastal region, sea folk could be useful. The dragons could conquer from above, while the sea folk destroyed any ships out at sea the people needed to fight off the dragons. They would essentially starve the region into submission.
If a dragon could resist the urge for immediate wealth and play the long term game, I do have one very bizarre scenario. Generally, dragons will pillage the same town over and over again. However, what if the dragon instead protected the village? Instead of villagers having to spend money to constantly rebuild the village, they could spend it to help their village prosper. The villagers then simply give the dragon money as a tax. In the long term, the dragon would gather much more wealth than with the traditional method.
Granted, all of those are for more traditional Western style dragons. East Asian dragons would be different. Being more known for their wisdom and knowledge, I would think they would be more inclined to intelligent classes such as monks or wizards.
… Hopefully that answers your question.
